Overview - Finders Keepers
Finders Keepers is a resort-based discovery experience that uses augmented reality once—deliberately and ceremonially—to introduce a monumental sculptural form. From that moment on, the experience becomes entirely physical, contemplative, and clue-driven.
The resort itself becomes a readable landscape: part gallery, part puzzle, part playground.
The Artwork
A large-scale AR sculpture (12–15 feet tall) is situated in the lobby / dining room / above the pool and is presented as a standalone artwork. Guests with a device may view it at any time, just as they would any other placed piece.
The sculpture is highly detailed and designed for close study. We develop lighting, placement, and presentation protocols so it reads as a striking installation—day and night—rather than a game mechanic.
This encounter is the final required use of a phone.
Experience Flow
Guests receive their first clue after encountering the sculpture. From there, all discovery happens in the physical world.
Clues are embedded throughout the resort grounds and interiors: in other sculptures, architectural details, landscaping, curated libraries, inscriptions, markings, and objects in plain sight. Some clues are immediate and intuitive; others reward patience, interpretation, and cross-disciplinary thinking.
The objective is to locate a small physical silver miniature hidden somewhere on the property. The first guest to find it keeps it. One win per day.
Clue Design and Difficulty
The experience scales naturally.
• Children often have an advantage: pattern recognition, literal interpretation, curiosity, and freedom from overthinking can lead them to solutions adults miss.
• A parallel, optional kids’ quest can run alongside the primary experience—using simpler symbolism, physical play, and observation—allowing younger guests to participate meaningfully without dilution of the main challenge.
• For adult participants, clues can extend into literature, history, classical references, contemporary art, and layered metaphor—supporting exceptionally rigorous intellectual paths when desired.
Guests are never told how complex a solution is meant to be. The depth reveals itself through engagement.
